Fall Food & Wine Fest 2014 – Fredericksburg, TX

Deep in the heart of the Texas Hill Country is the town of Fredericksburg, TX, a quaint city rich in history. There are hints of German flavor in the different shops and restaurants and countless activities, wineries, events and more that make residents love where they live and keep visitors coming back year after year. The Food and Wine Fest is one great event that is a highlight in the fall and this year promises to be one to remember.

This grand celebration of Texas wine and food will be taking place October 25th, 2014 in the historic downtown of Fredericksburg, on Marktplatz. Stealing the show will be our amazing Texas wineries and Texas-made products. Your admission includes a souvenir wine glass, six tasting tickets, access to fantastic live music and the Great Gargantuan Grape Toss. There will also be a wonderful silent auction so get ready to bid against your friends!

At the ever-popular Grape Expectations Cooking School, Texas gourmet chefs will be demonstrating culinary talents and you will have a chance to learn from the best. For 2014, the chefs are Ross Burtwell of Cabernet Grill, Fredericksburg; Lois Rodriguez of Texas Highways, Austin; Bryce Baker of Navajo Grill, Fredericksburg; Leo Aguirre of Fischer & Wieser Specialty Foods, Fredericksburg; and Don Carr of Sysco Central Texas. The entertainment lineup includes Zydeco Blanco, The Frank Gomez Band, and El Tule.
