Vino & Pasta: A Wine 290 Event in Fredericksburg, TX

You would be hard pressed to convince me of what really goes together better than pasta and wine! “Vino & Pasta” is an event coming up March 22, 2014 that simply highlights the best that Texas Hill Country has to offer.

Let’s take a little journey—Imagine if you will that you are driving down a scenic countryside road with the sun gleaming into your windows. You may pass a car or two that wave hello as you all take in the simple nature around you. Amidst the scenery that resembles beautiful parts of France and Italy, you start noticing that there are not one, not two, not even three, but rather 13 wineries along your route! For someone who appreciates wine and great food, wouldn’t this be a magical place?

I am thrilled to tell you that this does not have to be just a figment of your imagination! Along US Highway 290 near Fredericksburg, TX you will find Fredericksburg Wine Road 290. Thirteen award-winning wineries have teamed up to form an association and the result is a spectacular journey on which visitors and locals can go. In just a couple of weeks, on March 22, 2014 you will be able to attend Vino & Pasta: A Wine 290 Event. Learn about pairing wine and pasta as you sample some of finest of each from the area. Each of the thirteen wineries will be working with a top local restaurant to provide you with a delicious, unforgettable experience.

Most wineries will have a small “tasting fee” but there is no ticket required to attend this event. Just grab your friends or family, hop in your car and go! There are 45 miles between the most east and the most west wineries, which include:
