Volkswagen lovers unite! The biggest Volkswagen show in Texas is coming up and this is one weekend you will not want to miss! Mark your calendars April 18-20, 2014 for the 2014 Texas VW Classic—an annual event that is growing in popularity each year.
You may not be familiar with the true history of the beloved Volkswagen so let us enlighten you just a bit! The first Volkswagen was a Porsche design and Ferdinand Porsche had actually been put in charge of designing “the people’s car” for Adolf Hitler. Hitler wanted a small, four seater, and affordable car to win public support for his military adventures. It never did get manufactured though until 1946 when the British, who had taken over the plant intended to make the car, discovered the plans and put the Volkswagen into production. How neat is that?
The Texas VW Classic is simply an event to celebrate this beloved style of car and a chance to bring people from around Texas and beyond together for a weekend of fun. You can come in and park an RV or a tent or choose to stay in one our beautiful bed and breakfasts at The All Seasons Collection.
