Christmas in Fredericksburg Texas Bed and Breakfast

A couple of my favorite Holiday Traditions happen this week in Fredericksburg – The Christmas Lights get turned on and the outdoor ice skating rink opens (Eisbhan)!

On November 26th at 7pm at Marktplatz, the Christmas season officially begins in Fredericksburg with the annual lighting of the 25ft. German Christmas Pyramid and the new 30ft. Community Christmas Tree that will serve as the canvas for showcasing many creative and beautiful German Christmas inspired ornaments by our local and Hill Country artisans. Family, friends and visitors will gather in anticipation of the grand lighting. Thousands of guests turn out to listen to the German Brass Band and Community Choir sing traditional carols.
Fredericksburg’s Eisbahn (ice rink in German) has become a winter tradition for Fredericksburg families and thousands of visitors as well. Come enjoy outdoor ice skating on real ice in the Texas Hill Country! Eisbahn opens annually the day after Thanksgiving and runs through the first Sunday in January. The dates for this season are:
